York Family Photographer- Fall Sessions

Hi and welcome to my blog! It is so nice to see you! I have been meaning to stop neglecting my blog since Christmas! It already feels like I took these pictures ages ago! Even though it is a bit late, I didn’t want to miss posting altogether. Fall is my most popular time in business and if you want those amazing orange and red leaves with me, I always book in advance because the leaves look gorgeous and everyone loves them. The leaves are only like this for about ten days. I hope you all love these images as much as I do!! I hate seeing these leaves drop and when they do then I know fall is officially over. Enjoy!

There are so many options at this location! I thought it would be easier to include a few client sessions in one blog post.

Allison always talks about how she loves seeing her pictures on her wall and I love that I can help her get some of the family. They brought their puppy- she is so tiny in the first photo!

After we had a dull and cloudy day which postponed our session, we agreed on a gorgeous evening right before sunset. This sweet girl is gorgeous!!

I love that brother and sister were so eager to be photographed!

When you book a session with me, I always get photos of the kids!! These children are amazing!!

As a family photographer, I always encourage Dads to get in one shot with their youngest kiddo.

Karen’s family met me at eight in the morning! I loved every minute of it! Karen could not stop sharing and talking about her pictures!! I love that!

When the mood strikes I try to incorporate the gazebo at this particular park!

That golden light helped us retain some yellows in the trees when I Mary for her fall photo shoot!

Remember the gazebo, there are these big steps leading up to it!

I love golden hour (an hour before sunset) when the light is so warm!

My family sessions start at $350.00 + tax for 4 to 5 people in one family. You are able to receive photos of the family together, individual photographs of each child and also those sibling photos that we all love. 10 to 15 full resolution images delivered on a flash drive  are included in this price. Typically, sessions last about an hour and I specialize in working with you to find the perfect location for your session!

Beauty and the Beast Children's Session

For Halloween, my daughter Sophia was Belle! I am just now finally getting around to blogging her session. Belle is by far Sophia’s favorite Disney character. I lucked out and saw both of these dresses at two different consignment shops. I just love how these photos look!

And then the famous yellow dress! AND rose!

Winter Minis!

Well guys, tomorrow is December! It feels good to almost be finished with most of the editing from my fall sessions. In November I was given the opportunity to photograph a family who traveled from Maryland to see me! She saw my information about Winter Minis which I had posted on my website several weeks ago! Super cool! My winter location this year for Christmas sessions is John Rudy Park. In years past I have used John Rudy Park in Emigsville many times. These photo shoots are specially designed to be great for families looking for photos for their Christmas cards, a few photos to frame for their mantel. These are just some ways that you can update your home with new pictures! The cost is $99 + tax for 6 images; I can get the pictures done quickly and easily and back to you! My availability is very limited. I am available beginning Saturday 11/30/18.

In addition, these are meant to be shorter sessions designed just to use the evergreen trees and possibly the red barn that is there.

I have a few props saved for sessions like this. Below are some samples of my work and you will see my kids of course as always! Also, I am showcasing two different families during the brighter part of the day. It’s important to note that this location is nice because I can utilize this spot during all hours of the day. I usually prefer to shoot an hour before sunset but this park has shade therefore I can be a little more creative with my light.

The blanket is an excellent prop! These pictures were taken during golden hour.

There are evergreens here, not fully grown yet and perfect for a tree farm look! Pair that with a rustic prop and it’s adorable!

The photos below were taken on a different day but also right before sunset.

These are some examples of winter mini sessions that I have done! This was taken in the morning. I love it. We found some shade and used it like crazy!

This sibling shot is so amazing! The light on them and behind them!

I loved this one of them by the barn.

These ladies are stunning!! They had their hair done that morning just for this.

Family session at Lake Redman

I am so excited to share these gorgeous images from a family session that I did in Jacobus. PA. I met the family at Lake Redman in September (So behind on blogging!)

My client is a friend of mine and she and her family showed up to rock and roll! Mom had her hair curled and everything they wore coordinated with the fall colors- I LOVE THAT! As a photographer, I really love when my families connect and make me job easy! They made it so easy to produce nice images for the family.

New Winter Minis!

I just wanted to update my blog a bit and say Wow!!! In the previous years, I’ve never been almost completely booked for one location. Farquhar Park has maybe one more slot open (the park with the amazing leaves!). This is so exciting for me! It means people love and appreciate my work. Thank you! You know I love photography and I just can’t express enough how happy I am to see how photography is still a product that people will appreciate, love and enjoy!

So switching gears here a minute, I thought of something new and different. In years past I have used John Rudy Park in Emigsville many times. The garden is lovely and the wooden area is nice. We have a lot going on this weekend but I want to make time to meet client if they want a session! So I am Introducing......Winter minis at John Rudy Park! These are specially designed to be great for families looking for photos for their Christmas cards, a few photos to frame for their mantel…just some ideas to update your home with new pictures! At this time I am only offering these at John Rudy Park on Sat. Oct. 20 and Sunday Oct. 21 . More dates may open up as we see how my schedule and the weather both cooperate. Please pay the session fee and tax in full if you want a slot this weekend. I am looking at times between 4 pm and 6:30 as the best times for light but am also available Saturday morning! These are meant to be shorter sessions designed just to use the wooded area and evergreen tree area for those looking for both a fall vibe and a winter look! I am super excited about these and just because I have almost no time left in my schedule for this month, at a super affordable price, I am offering my time this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday. These sessions are meant to be about 30 minutes long. I have a red wagon and we can see if it works as a prop. 

So these are my kids, from two years ago and we were on that adorable trail. It can a nice fall vibe going on.
