Snow session in Manchester PA

My kids are always up for some fun in the snow! And add the fact that I wait for it to snow just to get pictures then well, you get the idea!!

Last year I took a photo of my daughter in the snow and got the chance to enter it into a Top Ten Winter weekly photo contest last week, and the photographer chose my image to feature on her blog! Such a super cool moment for me. Follow this link and see it here!

I have always tried to get my kids in the snow and take lots of photos with them playing. Last year I added a blog post of the snow pictures and you can see it here! It’s so fun to create these memories of my kids playing.

This year in January I took my daughter out as soon as it snowed. There was a spot in Manchester that as I drove down the lane, it looked like a cute country lane and I really wanted to see how it would look with snow all around it.

So fun and my girl really likes getting out there! This is a nice way for me take more pictures during the dreaded winter when everything looks lifeless.

Thanks for checking this post out! I will be taking on outdoor sessions again in May. As a photographer in the Central PA area, I am looking forward to a glorious spring and summer!

Garden Session - Summertime- John Rudy Park

I was trying to think of the last time I blogged anything- it has been a while! I met Elizabeth and her two sweet kids one evening at John Rudy Park for a session in the garden. I wanted to soak up what was left of summer and use the beauty around us and it did not disappoint! I am so glad Elizabeth was able to meet me! I worked with her once before and this weekend I am lucky again and get to photograph her whole family! Not only was it a blessing to have great weather like we did- it’s also lovely when your models are so adorable. Elizabeth- you looked beautiful!

I loved the light in this little beauty’s hair!

This might be one of my favorite images from the whole summer. There is a vine at John Rudy and I had Claire stand in a way that you can’t tell the arbor is actually a huge circle! It worked out and resulted in a gorgeous photo!

I just think photos of Moms and their kids are so special!

For a few years I was scared of the lighting here at the garden. I thought the sun going down the other side of the trees was going to make the garden dark. Nope- you just adjust your camera settings. I hope to offer garden sessions next year!!

Elizabeth- I am so glad you could meet me and let me take these. You all looked so amazing!!

Senior Pictures- Central York Class of 2020

I am so happy to show these images to you guys!! Maddy is a senior this year and wanted me to take her portraits!! I was so flattered to be asked to do these! Maddy teaches at my kids’ dance studio and my kids love her. She is such a delight to be around and always so happy, so when she asked me to take her senior portraits, I knew we would get lots of good shots. I knew as long as I got the lighting right and my camera settings perfect that she’d do the rest and shine! She is so photogenic.

Displayed below are the first set of Maddy’s senior portraits. We almost got rained out that night but the rain stopped and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Since she has danced her whole life, we are planning on taking more pictures later on at other time as well with her ballet shoes.

If you need senior portraits, the best time to do them is now, right before your senior year.

Fourth of July Children's Session

Hi and welcome back! I am just sharing some recent photos. I love to think of special photo shoots to do with my kids for the holidays because it’s fun to come up with concepts which I can then show the world! I took these at a park where we had a nice warm sunset and grass field, perfect for some Independence Day portraits, and I am finally showing them off! I bought an antique flag and antique Coca Cola bottles. Taking these photos was a lot of fun!

I am always interested in doing fun photo shoots such as this! I also tagged Coke on Facebook hoping they would share but they didn’t. Oh Well, lol!

Children's session at a crimson field

Hello again! So glad you stopped by! Today’s post features my kids on a photography play-date! My friend told me about this field and we hopped in the car and met her family one night in May. Oh my gosh you guys, there was red clover everywhere, as far as the eye could see! I’ve never seen anything like it and could not get enough of this scenery. Set on a cute farm, this field was certainly an attraction for people to come and enjoy a unique experience. I will just show you most of the pictures because it was so hard to narrow them down! I am always looking for new scenic views to photograph. As a child and family photographer, it makes me happy to find new places.

Our kids met that night for the first time and had a blast!! I love the light in their hair.
