Fresh 48 {York, PA}

Last week I met a sweet family of three at the hospital for a Fresh 48 session. Baby Sarah was two days old at the time and oh so itty bitty! Mom & Dad are smitten and so very much in love with this little bundle. I was honored to capture some portraits of them and will be traveling to their home in a couple days for their Lifestyle Newborn session as well. Please enjoy this Fresh 48 session in York, PA.

Memorial Day

Hey guys! I just have some fun pictures to share from Memorial Day. Nothing special but I need to keep practicing. Getting sharp pictures with my 85mm is not easy but worth the work if I get great results because provides such creamy bokeh. In the close up images here,  I used my 35mm and it's always super sharp. Luckily for me, my kiddos are always available as my models. Sophia is a pro at getting her picture taken. I've trained her to give me nice smiles and not goofy ones, LOL.

 Every park in York Haven has these rocks which people have painted their art on and Soph loved looking at them. I let her play with the rocks because she's so high energy and very interested in learning and if there is one thing I have learned in 6 1/2 years of parenting, it's that she will drive me crazy unless I embrace her fun personality, haha. I wanted to let her bring the heart rock home but felt bad about someone seeing it go missing so we left it there. Mr. Ryan slept the entire time I took pictures of his sister so I grabbed him before bedtime and gave him a cupcake (see why he's in our backyard for his photo, lol!)

Spring Mother's Day Session {York, PA}

Hi again! I have a lovely spring session to show you all! I love sessions where there is a focus on the Mom and her babies so we decided to let Michelle and her children have all the fun while Dad could take a break from getting his picture taken. Pennsylvania is really pretty in the spring and I centered most of the session around a tree that was blooming at the time. John Rudy Park has nice spots for pictures and I was lucky to have some golden light. Please enjoy this Mother's Day session in York PA!

Newborn Baby- Lifestyle {York, PA}

Hello and welcome back to my blog!! I hope everyone is starting to see the nice spring weather that we have been enjoying.  It is always exciting to finish editing a session. I have several photos from my most recent meeting with a client watermarked and ready to go. I am a baby, children and family photographer in York and while I primarily shoot my sessions outside in natural light, it was a nice change to meet a family in their home. Tina asked if I would take her baby's newborn pictures and of course I agreed! This session took place in Tina's bedroom where there was plenty of natural light for me to work with. I love that the family shots have a lifestyle feel to them. The baby was 10 days old when I met with the family & big sister was also a great addition to many of the pictures! Enjoy!!

A new home for us!

Happy Monday to you all!! I am visiting my website today to share images of my children in our new home. We moved to York Haven one month ago. It's been a little overwhelming for me because I love routine but a set schedule is out the window when you are unpacking and have a life to live. However, today I feel like I'm finally at a place that I can sit down and type some things out and know that our kids don't need me (at the moment) and my housework is caught up for a second!

Our 6 year old, Sophia, attends a new school and we are all just so happy about it! She has always been smart and is blessed with beauty (I always think anyway). Sophia was attending a city school before and the class size at her old school was high. There were also so many kids, all at different levels. I remember when I subbed Kindergarten how stressful it was when I didn't know the routine so I'm sure her teacher had to be very vigilant about schedules and rules to maintain a peaceful learning environment. We are all so happy to see Sophia love her new school though. She gets up every morning in such a great mood. She still talks about her old friends though so that makes me a little sad. Ryan our youngest still attends preschool twice a week and as always, still maintains his status as my cute wild little man who is a Mama's boy through and through.

I am taking a few clients per month and plan on being busy in the spring. I am still in driving distance to John Rudy Park! Justin is working in Dover and loves his job as a Quality Engineer. 

These images won't win me any awards or anything but they were kind of fun to take. First I must include a photo which was taken in York from one day in January when we got some snow. The rest are from our new house. I have a prettier house now so I will be taking advantage of it and my kids don't mind at all.

I believe what happened here went something like, he pooped and needed a bath and the light in the kitchen was pretty...........Ryan hated it, ha!

He really thinks he's big stuff....ha.

I wanted to play with the light with this one and thought it looked pretty cool!

I have Princess and Tinkerbell things on Sophia's side of the room.

Ryan woke up and was still a little sleepy. If I remember correctly, he wasn't feeling good that day,

Soph loves to write. She'd write things out all day I think if she could.

Baby loves to sleep in my bed.

Ryan loves to laugh

We had maybe two feet of snow one week ago.
