Baby Ryan

A Mini Session with our little boy at a farm in Lititz, PA

It seems like this year is going so fast and to be honest, I'm not really liking the speed at which our weeks are flying by! They say when you have little ones at home that the days are long but the years go by very fast but I feel like our weeks have been so packed that everything is just speeding up. I guess that means we're all having fun, or something like that? Ha. I will be sending Sophia, our oldest, to Kindergarten before I know it and with that in mind, I think I'm a little stressed about getting all our activities in before the fall season makes it's appearance. Having Sophia in school will definitely be a huge change for everyone here but we hope to make the most of it! So back to our Ryan boy. It feels like not long ago he was just a baby and now that he's a toddler, I'm certainly getting nostalgic about certain things that I know I cannot get back. However, one of the more enjoyable things to see with Ryan and most little kids is watching their personality flourish. Here's a photo that I took last March, 2015, so he would have been 5 months old and able to sit up for short periods of time. So chubby, right? haha! This was taken in our York, PA home.

Ryan is now 21 months old and I decided that since we were at the Wildflowers so often, it might be a good time to snap some pictures of him, because, why not? He is definitely photogenic and a happy guy!

He thinks every flower has dandelion puffs on it. So cute!

I mean, gosh, can we say handsome! What a scrunchy little face.

The Wildflowers

Good Morning! I hope everyone is having a great Friday. I'm busy this summer with activities for my kids and my business is getting busy! It's a good summer to have things to do! Photographers are always searching for locations and I have found the golden ticket! This is basically my dream place to shoot! My kids have come to this magical place several times and I've photographed some awesome clients as well. Child photography is so much fun for me and this location makes things so pretty. It's not too far from York, Pa either, if you are interested in a Wildflower session, it's best to book one with me before they start to wilt. The flowers look okay right now, at the moment but I would schedule a session as soon as you can, if you are interested in meeting me!

The nice part about this field is that right around sunset, sometimes the sun hits the horizon and makes things even more perfect! See in the first photo how the sun was setting right at the top of the frame? LOVE it!! I could probably stare at the photo below all day. I'm getting a huge canvas for my house. It truly is a dream come true as a photographer and artist when everything you want in a photo happens just perfectly!

Something that I specialize in is children's portraits. If there are key elements in nature, it's fun to capture them exploring so I usually give children slight direction and then capture what they see. Sophia couldn't stop staring at the beautiful flowers, and who could blame her!

I just think Sophia is so pretty. I'm happy to have her model for me and she is always a willing participant :) Modeling was my Mama's first job! It runs in the family. Isn't she stunning??

Pink tones are so pretty, even my little guy is surrounded by pink! Look at him in his overalls. He's sweet as sugar, my Ryan guy.

To end the night, my kiddos were sharing clover. Aren't they so sweet? And that sky was real!

My sweet, tired baby!

Guys, I've been away and busy, but I am back at blogging everything (almost everything) that I shoot. There will be some things that I will keep from my blog, but I am hoping to post my personal images and Client images here. I have exciting things planned for this summer for my business! Here a couple images of our toddler, Ryan, who fell asleep one day last week on our couch. I love that he is starting to get loose curls on his head!

If you or anyone that you know is interested in hiring a photographer for children's photos and photos of their families in York, Pa, just use the Book a Session feature at the top of my website! Surely we will start to get warmer weather and I will be able to take on some family sessions!

Family trip to Barefoot Farms

Last week my family went to Barefoot Farms, in Dover, Pa. It was a nice ride, kind of outside of York, but still within enough distance that we weren't driving all over the county or anything crazy! It seems like the farm is tucked away nicely from busy roads and streets, and from our family living so close to urban communities, I do forget how beautiful PA is in the summer! We arrived there and quickly realized that there was a storm coming, but still were able to pick strawberries, eat some ice cream, stand in front of the enormous fan and let the kids stick their heads in the giant strawberry figures. I loved the country atmosphere; it was almost tempting to sit on the porch swing along with Sophia, but I was not sure whether we were technically even allowed on their porch! I loved the house though, because it reminded me of a bed and breakfast. They sell herbs from their garden and have U pick gardens for strawberries and raspberries. Here are some fun pictures from our day!

Sophia's face when picking the strawberries :)

I loved the sky that day when the storm was nearing us.....

I am a sucker for close ups and little details!

I got so many pictures of her and this fan. She didn't know what to do with it at first. I guess it was just so much bigger than she was, and she hadn't gotten close to a fan so enormous before. I am sure she was wondering why water was leaking from it! After some convincing from myself, she got used to it and played with it and got very wet.

Annnd then there was an ice cream and sandwich stand! Heaven! Can I discuss vanilla ice cream sundae, topped with strawberries? If I don't order something with chocolate, you better believe, I will be ordering something with fruit on it! Daddy got mint chocolate chip and Soph got a chocolate sundae.

Also- the adorable signs were so fun!

How cute is she on that bench?

one fun photo to end the post ;)

Father's Day

I wanted to being my journey in the blogging world talking about my husband for a minute. Since I am fairly new to using my website, I'm still learning the ins and outs of it. So far, I think I've done pretty well for myself and have managed to get it running under two days. In usual Angela fashion, I normally am not satisfied with something immediately, so I won't be shocked if I decide to change my website format at least once again this month! So back to my husband, Justin since this post was about him! I know it's not exactly his birthday or our Anniversary, but I wanted to say that first and foremost, I am lead to say those cliche words that aren't spoken enough by me: He's a great husband, life partner, and Father to our children! I really feel like in my heart we were meant to meet and fall in love and truly feel as though Justin and I compliment one another. Plus, who else would bring me endless food and coffee when I'm breastfeeding our baby and can't quite get up to make myself food! There's nothing he wouldn't do for his family, and his wife. I thought I'd post some photos from our Daddy & Me photography session we did last month here in York, PA. All the photographs were taken at Kiwanis Lake.
